Important limitation
Audicap transcribes the audio it can capture from the Chrome tab you select. Browser restrictions, protected players, network quality, accents, and specialist vocabulary can affect results. How it works
Use the same four controls you see inside Audicap.
Start on one real Coursera module and confirm the active-tab workflow before capturing a longer lecture.
- 01Open the Coursera module in desktop Chrome
Play the lecture in a normal Chrome tab and leave that tab active when you open Audicap.
- 02Open Audicap and press Start Recording
Sign in if prompted. If Chrome asks for toolbar authorization, click the Audicap icon once on the course tab to complete it.
- 03Follow the transcript in Live
Keep the lecture playing while segments appear. Use translation, timestamps, copy, or export controls when they support the lesson.
- 04Press Stop Recording, then open History
After the session is saved, open it in History to review, add a note, mark it for later, summarize, share, or export.
